The E-IPA-HX interface card combined with any Eclipse HX frame creates a very powerful Audio-over-IP (AoIP) solution. The E-IPA card has the ability to carry licenses from Agent-IC and SIP, and can take any of the inputs for the matrix frame and convert it into an IP audio stream, including AES67/SMPTE ST2110. In this example, the Clear-Com Global Rental Partner manages the frame from their location. The frame serves as a central hub for audio to run between sources and recipients. The E-IPA card supports the LQ Series devices in the field which can function as remote studios. The card also allows any user with a mobile device to use Agent-IC intercom application to listen in and contribute to a production.

Application Notes

The Eclipse HX frame provides extreme versatility due to the various interface cards and modules that can be deployed with the frame itself. Through a single frame, the Rental Partner can provide multiple customers with multiple solutions at any given moment. Here, the Partner has "rented" Agent-IC licenses to a customer who has users deployed in a region spanning hundreds of miles. These users can monitor program audio and contribute when necessary. Production level users leverage a throwdown LQ device with beltpacks and talent equipment to direct, manage or contribute to the program.
