ABOUT CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65

California’s Proposition 65 requires that California consumers be given warnings concerning products that contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Many of the chemicals listed under Propostion 65 are commonly found in electronic products such as those sold by Clear-Com. Some, such as lead, can be found in solder on printed circuit boards, cables, or other electronic assemblies. Bisphenol A (BPSA) can be found in plasitc housings, labels and adhesives, and DEHP (phthalates) can be found in PVC wire coatings of cables, housings, carrying cases, and power cords. Considering the types of electronic products that we sell, we believe it prudent to provide the following warnings for all of our products.

 WARNING: Cables, cable assemblies, and printed circuit boards can expose you to chemicals including lead and lead compounds which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

 

 WARNING: Lithium-ion batteries and products that contain lithium-ion batteries can expose you to chemicals including cobalt lithium nickel oxide, and nickel, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.  WARNING: Electrical cords, cables, product cords, wire assemblies, and carrying cases made with PVC can expose you to chemicals including DEHP, which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.  WARNING: Plastic cases and product plastic housings made from polycarbonate or other plastics can expose you to chemicals including bisphenol A (BPSA), which are known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reprodcuctive harm. PLEASE NOTE: Although certain chemicals listed under Proposition 65 are present in our products, when the products are used as intended, we are not aware of any adverse health effects resulting from any such chemicals. Further, we have made no changes in our manufacturing processes which we believe heightens our customers’ risk related to these chemicals. We continue to follow best industry practices to develop effective and safe products. We believe it to be prudent, however, to provide the warning above as required by California law.
