Small Form-factor Pluggables (SFPs) are a generic mechanical interface found on various Clear-Com devices and are a widely adopted industry standard. SFP modules allow various types of optical fiber and copper connectivity dependent on the available infrastructure. While mechanically identical, SFPs are designed with different properties for data rates, power and fiber cable type. Clear-Com transceivers are extensively tested and fully supported. Clear-Com cannot support or guarantee trouble-free operation using third party SFP transceivers.
