Multi-Theater Site with Avalon

Performance centers can be sprawling facilities, often encompassing multiple theaters, dressing rooms, carpentry areas, box office operations, and administrative offices. Even in a complex multi-site environment like this, Avalon* simplifies deployment as a highly scalable platform. The Avalon IP Station is a compact 1RU device supporting up to 64 FreeSpeak beltpacks (1.9 and 5 GHz frequency bands), 128 HelixNet devices using 24 channels, and up to 64 I.V. Direct connections. An additional 64 ports of Dante and AES67 connectivity can be added through a flexible port licensing model. This scalability allows a single Avalon* station to support communications across an entire multi-theater facility.

How it Works

The Avalon IP station* is deployed in the control room of the main theater, serving as the central communications hub for the facility. FreeSpeak II IP Transceivers are strategically positioned throughout the venue to provide wireless coverage across multiple theater spaces, supporting both FreeSpeak II and FreeSpeak Icon beltpacks. Existing 2-wire endpoints are connected through LQ interfaces via I.V. Direct. Dante-enabled speakers, microphones, and consoles provide additional communication endpoints, creating a comprehensive intercom solution connecting production teams throughout the facility.
