Matrix Frame Architecture
- Eclipse CPU and Audio interface cards communicate on the frame's TDM backplane using a proprietary serial protocol that passes requests and instructions from the cards.
- Eclipse Audio interface cards make its audio inputs available on the frame's TDM backplane using PCM audio and receives from its other card inputs for mixing to its outputs.
- Eclipse CPU controller cards communicate externally to the configuration computer or control system via a serial network interface.
- Eclipse Audio interface cards communicate externally on their own dedicated interfaces. Externally each card is an individual clock domain and does not bridge to other cards.
- No network connections are shared or bridged between cards.
