Alameda, California/Cambridge, UK, August 12, 2008 – Clear-Com® Communication Systems (IBC, Stand 9.C40a) is celebrating 40 years as a leader of communication solutions. The company, which is part of The Vitec Group, began its legacy in 1968 with the first-ever partyline beltpack for live venues and has remained a steadfast developer and provider of professional voice communications systems. Since starting out with revolutionary systems for the live performance market four decades ago, Clear-Com has greatly expanded its product offerings and worldwide reach into broadcasting, government, medical and house of worship segments around the globe, in addition to live performance. Today, the company continues to evolve, advancing new solutions for software-based and wireless intercom technologies.

As Clear-Com began to pick up momentum as a leading communications system provider, it stepped ahead of its competition when it merged with UK-based Drake Electronics Ltd., the designers of the de facto standard intercom solution for European broadcasters, in 2003.
