The inherent danger of rooftop construction requires skill, knowledge and reliable communication. Crane operators bring construction material weighing thousands of pounds to crews on the roof. Communication between the two must be constant to ensure no one falls or is hurt during material delivery.
How it Works
Housed at the top of the building is a DX410 main station. Rooftop teams outfitted with the BP410 beltpack and CC-15 headset communicate with Crane operators with the same gear. Up to 15 beltpacks can be used on the system which has a battery life of up to 12 hours. Teams can leverage single or dual channel operations. As an added redundancy, a PK-7 power source drives additional RS-701 beltpacks for a hard-wired single channel analog system.
