Clear-Com recently collected six award wins across four of their products, including NAB Product of the Year and Future Publishing’s NAB and InfoComm Best in Market. Clear-Com’s recognized products include the new Arcadia™ Central Station, FreeSpeak Edge® Base Station, Station-IC™ Virtual Desktop Client and Agent-IC® Mobile App.
Agent-IC took home a win in the Remote Production category of the third annual, prestigious NAB Product of the Year Awards. Agent-IC turns smartphones, tablets and wearable devices into fully-featured intercom panels with connectivity over WiFi, 3G, 4G/LTE and 5G networks. Initially released in 2015, Agent-IC has seen accelerated adoption rates over the last two years, with over 10,000 downloads since March 2020. Across broadcast, live sound, and many more markets, people have been turning to Agent-IC to facilitate work-from-home and remote production workflows during the pandemic. Agent-IC is an intuitive, cost-effective, and fast-to-deploy solution that is finding new applications daily across markets.
The new Arcadia Central Station won NAB Best in Market for Installation and InfoComm Best in Market for TV Technology. Arcadia Central Station is a next-generation scalable IP platform that integrates wired and wireless partyline systems, including the full range of FreeSpeak™ digital wireless intercom solutions. With a mixture of 2-wire and 4-wire audio ports, the 1RU device serves as the centerpiece of a system that includes connectivity to Clear-Com endpoints along with third-party Dante devices. The upcoming integration of HelixNet® Digital Partyline in 2022 will offer even more exciting functionality for Arcadia users.
Also released in Summer 2021, the FreeSpeak Edge Base Station was recognized by both Pro Sound News and Mix as an InfoComm Best in Market product. The IP base station supports the full range of award-winning FreeSpeak™ digital wireless intercom solutions including 1.9 GHz, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, as well as third-party Dante devices. The single 1RU device supports up to 16 total beltpacks and 6 IP transceivers, (10 E1 Transceivers), with the flexibility to mix and match bands, as well as up to eight ports of IP interoperability with third-party Dante connections. With a mixture of IP, 2-wire and 4-wire audio ports, the FreeSpeak Edge Base Station can integrate a variety of systems, including Clear-Com Encore® partyline system and even two-way radio systems with an intelligent GPIO interface.
The Station-IC Virtual Desktop Client, developed out of the success of Agent-IC, was recognized by TVB Europe as NAB Best in Market. Station-IC provides a scalable intercom user station on computers running MacOS and Windows operating systems. Connecting to Eclipse HX IP-capable matrices, Station-IC provides access to the system’s resources which can include one-to-one, one-to-many, partyline, ISO and IFB communication in addition to call signals and logic controls. Station-IC also connects to LQ® Series of IP Interfaces for PC desktop access to the LQ partylines and audio ports. The desktop client functionality can be tailored to each user to create an efficient and customized intercom user station.
