Remote Production has become a very popular way of producing news events as it provides a significant cost reduction with regards to the amount of gear and talent required on site. The ability to carry both audio and video over IP with manageable latency gives broadcasters and production companies capabilities they've not had in the past.
How it Works
Staff communicate between the studio and the remote site over an IP connection via a set of LQ-R interfaces. Key production staff can communicate from anywhere in the venue on FreeSpeak II wireless beltpacks. Stationary positions leverage Encore analog beltpacks connected to the 2-wire ports on the LQ-R interfaces. IFB communications are carried to Anchors using the Agent-IC mobile app licensed through the LQ-R.
