Deck to deck communication on a deep ocean vessel can be challenging due to the overall structure of a ship. The sheer inherent risk of being at sea while doing difficult tasks requires the ability to communicate without a risk of misunderstanding.
How It Works
The Encore MS-802-IM provides analog partyline communication between decks. In this diagram, 2-wire cabling link nine (system supports up to 10) KB-802GM-IM speaker stations with 2-channel communication capability. An IF4W4 interface can bring in radio, satellite or camera communication. In this case, it connects a FreeSpeak II base station to the existing partyline system. FSII-BASE-II with a transceiver and beltpacks provides wireless capability on the main deck.
