Clear-Com Presents U.S. Debut of FreeSpeak Edge at AES and NAB NY 2019

10/3/2019

NAB NY 2019, BOOTH #N140, OCTOBER 16 - 17AES 2019, BOOTH #828, OCTOBER 16 - 18 - SMPTE 2011- 30 support and all-IP workflows also showcased – At AES 2019 and NAB NY 2019, Clear-Com® will demonstrate its ground-breaking advanced wireless intercom system FreeSpeak Edge™ for the first time in the U.S., and will also present a broad range of IP-based products and professional intercom communication tools, including support for SMPTE 2110-30. FreeSpeak Edge, the latest addition to the industry-leading FreeSpeak™ family of digital wireless intercom solutions, delivers the best audio quality and enhanced performance for some of the most complex live performance environments. The system gives the user more control and customization options, thanks to advanced frequency coordination capabilities and intuitive design features in the system’s transceivers and beltpacks. Built from the ground up, FreeSpeak Edge harnesses the power of 5GHz technology to perform flawlessly in even the most challenging venues and high multipath environments. The system takes advantage of Clear-Com’s exclusive RF technology, which uses OFDM to provide a robust transport layer that is immune to most forms of interference. FreeSpeak Edge delivers the clearest 12kHz audio quality with ultra-low latency and is highly scalable with the technology and bandwidth to support over 100 beltpacks and 64 transceivers to accommodate the largest productions. It can be combined seamlessly with FreeSpeak II® 1.9GHz and 2.4GHz systems, providing three bandwidths across a single unified communications system. Also highlighted at NAB NY is the latest version of the Eclipse®HX digital matrix, which now supports SMPTE 2110-30 and AES67 third-party interoperability. This addition marks the completion of the Eclipse HX system growth into the most flexible and dynamic all-IP intercom solution on the market. The unique IP toolset within Eclipse provides a range of powerful benefits including: LAN/WAN/Internet-based panel deployment; simple configuration; unique IP-based control mechanisms include HCI and Logic-Maestro; the ability to interface and leverage third party devices; LQ, SIP, and Agent-IC integration; and AES67 support for wireless and wired interconnects. Visitors will also see the V-Series Iris Panel which can monitor and send communications over three concurrent full-duplex uncompressed audio IP streams, enabling systems to deliver high quality, uncompressed AES67 audio from user to user with significantly reduced latency. In addition, the LQ™ Series IP Interfaces will be on display. These Audio-over-IP interfaces allow users to move and distribute audio and communications signals, SIP and Network Control Events (GPIO) to and from one or more communication points depending on user configuration. Geographically-dispersed audio and communications devices of any brand or technology type can be networked over secure LAN, WAN or even Public Internet. These and a wide range of Clear-Com’s other trusted communications solutions will be available for demonstration on Clear-Com’s booth #828 at AES 2019 and booth #N140 at NAB NY 2019, held at the Jacob K Javits Center.
