Clear-Com Manufacturing Facility Recognized for Excellence

Parent company HME receives 2019 AME Excellence Award forCarlsbad facility

Clear-Com® is proud to announce that the Carlsbad, CA corporate headquarters and manufacturing operation of its parent company, HM Electronics, Inc. (HME), has been awarded the highly prestigious 2019 AME Excellence Award presented by the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME). The award reflects the quality of the manufacturing processes behind Clear-Com products, which are all produced at the Carlsbad facility.

The AME Excellence Award recognizes organizations that have demonstrated excellence in manufacturing and business operations, and acknowledges continuous improvement, best practices, creativity and innovation. The evaluation process for the awards is extremely rigorous and only the best are rewarded; previous recipients of the award include world-leading brands including Raytheon, Bombardier Aerospace, Goodyear Innovation Center, IVECO and STIHL Inc. The award has been bestowed upon 44 facilities around the globe during the past 10 years.

HME and Clear-Com adhere to global best practices for Lean Enterprise. AME assessors highlighted the level of employee engagement in creating a lean culture, as well as facility design, employee training resources and topics, systems for scheduling and managing workflow, and strong cross-functional collaboration.
