FRANKFURT, GERMANY - Clear-Com® Communication Systems, a Vitec Group brand, will exhibit at this year’s Prolight + Sound show (Hall 9, Stand B27) its latest communications solutions designed to support the fast pace of the live performance market. The company’s two-channel Tempest®2400 digital wireless intercom system will be making its European debut. In addition, Clear-Com will also showcase its four-channel Tempest®2400, as well as the recently updated version of the company’s T-Desk software.

The two-channel Tempest2400 is the most recent addition to the company’s acclaimed Tempest2400 2.4 GHz wireless intercom family. A cost-effective option for live production professionals who require fewer channels of communications, this latest version offers the same license-free operation, exceptional RF performance and rich feature set as the four-channel Tempest2400.

Both versions of the Tempest2400 wireless intercom system operate in the 2.4 GHz license-free frequency band worldwide, where they are fundamentally immune to interference from other wireless devices, ensuring a smooth flow of communications during such live events as concerts, theatre productions, and other crowded indoor and outdoor RF environments.

In addition, all Tempest2400 wireless systems include the company’s T-Desk software. This PC-based desktop application, designed to help users faced with hectic challenges that can arise during live events, simplifies monitoring and managing the equipment in a wireless network from a remote location via Ethernet connection to a LAN connection.

The latest version of this software is equipped with several enhanced features that give users even more flexibility and control over their environment when using all versions of the Tempest2400. For example, the software allows operators using a Tempest two-channel beltstation to connect to a four-channel base station and provides them with a 6 dB increase in audio levels among other improvements. Also, all beltstation configurations within T-Desk can now be individually saved and loaded.Managed and monitored by Clear-Com’s intuitive T-Desk software, Tempest gives live production professionals the assurance of reliable, highly efficient production workflows during even the most unpredictable moments.
