LQ Series interfaces now enable Eclipse-HX to provide fully integrated access to SIP (VoIP) telephony

Clear-Com®’s today announced its enhanced LQ Series of IP interfaces that now enable the Eclipse HX digital intercom system to support SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) telephony, thereby offering cost-effective and direct VoIP communication.

“With the ever-increasing cost of ISDN lines and ongoing improvements in IP network QoS, SIP is a natural choice for broadcasters who need cost effective high quality audio circuits,” said Peter Stallard, Senior Product Manager of Clear-Com. “Tight LQ integration with the Eclipse HX means that the system offers controlled incoming access to IFBs, conferences and intercom panels, and for outgoing calls, a single button press can trigger dial out from an intercom panel, an Agent-IC client or even a beltpack.

Each LQ Series unit can provide up to eight SIP client interfaces for connection to a local IP-PBX or directly to a cloud based service provider. The multi-functional, LQ Series units can themselves simultaneously support SIP interfacing for Eclipse HX, independent conference bridging to remote locations and also provide native Agent-IC client support.

Eclipse HX supports SIP call handling locally from its intercom panels or centrally from the new Dynam-EC multi-user lines management facility. Dynam-EC’s intuitive user interface gives an instant overview of line status and also allows lines to be assigned to matrix resources under automation control.
