Vitec Group Communications Appoint Mark Davidson as New International Sales Manager

Vitec Group Communications (VGC), global market leaders in the design and development of the latest communications technology has appointed Mark Davidson as International Sales Manager for Central and Eastern Europe, with effect from 1st February 2006.

Mark has been brought in from his previous position as International Sales Manager at one of VGC’s leading competitors, Riedel GmbH. With Clear-Com® he will be based in Hamburg in Germany, with responsibility for sales across the region. 

Mark has almost 20 years experience of sales and marketing in the Information Communication Technologies (ICT) industry and has spent the last eight years on the international circuit working in Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Eastern Europe, Australia and the Far East.

“The Central and Eastern European market is a region seeing strong growth in the Broadcast market, and we’re delighted to have Mark working with us, so we can maximise our business opportunities in the region,” said Tom Gittins, Director of Broadcast Sales at Vitec Group Communications. “He has exceptional experience of working within the ICT industries in these markets and will be a great asset to our team.”

Mark studied International Business at Newcastle Business School and also at Hamburg University and Kiev University. He completed an International Business Studies degree with German and Russian languages in June 2000. In his spare time, Mark enjoys playing the drums.
