Broadcast Industry Veteran Brings Experience and Leadership to Vitec Group.

Clear-Com® a Vitec Group brand, the global leader of trusted intercom solutions, today announced the appointment of Matt Danilowicz as managing director of Vitec Group Communications worldwide. As a global supplier of broadcasting, entertainment and photographic equipment and services, Vitec Group owns brands including Drake and Clear-Com®, whose broadcast and live performance intercom solutions are recognized and respected around the world.

Matt takes up his new position, with global responsibility, effective June 26, 2006 after having joined Vitec Group Communications as vice president, Worldwide Marketing and Sales/Americas and Asia in November of 2005. Currently based in Emeryville, California, USA, Matt will be splitting his time between the US and the company's international headquarters in the Cambridge research park, Cambridge, UK. Matt accepted the managing director position to replace Chris Exelby, who left the company to pursue other business interests.

"We're very pleased to be able to make this announcement - Matt has been key to the overall success of Vitec Group Communications since joining us in 2005," said Joop Janssen, chief executive, Broadcast Systems Division, Vitec Group Communications. "One of his first tasks in his new role as managing director will be to work with me to further develop our three year business plan for the company, geared towards its continued success in opening up new markets in emerging geographies and bringing innovative products and technologies to the broadcast and live performance industries."

Matt has spent more than 20 years in the American broadcast industry. He has been closely involved with major technical innovations including station automation, non-linear editing, video servers, playback and graphics centralization. Matt has also played key roles in the financial operations for a number of start-ups, management buy-outs and successful business turnarounds.

Throughout his career, Matt has held senior management positions with some of the world's leading broadcast industry companies including Avid Technology, Dynatech and ParkerVision, where he facilitated the company's asset sale to Thomson. Among his accomplishments, Matt pioneered newsroom workflow automation on a global basis, traveling to most of the world's leading TV networks and stations analyzing and introducing radical new working practices. He has also held the position of business development director for one of the first interactive television services, TV Answer, whose team later created early applications for America On Line.
