Wallace appointment bolsters Clear-Com’s rapidly growing U.S. customer base

ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA, DECEMBER 15, 2009 - Clear-Com® Communication Systems, a Vitec Group brand and a premier manufacturer of professional intercom systems, is pleased to announce its appointment of Jay Wallace as Regional Sales Manager, Northwest Region.  In his new role, Wallace will help cultivate and strengthen Clear-Com’s relationships with its dealer partners, buoying the company’s continual efforts to grow and maintain its rapidly expanding customer base in the northwestern United States.Clear-Com in recent years has seen a major uptick in its U.S. customer base, as more broadcast, live sound and house of worship professionals, among others, have come to experience the company’s significant technology innovations and enhanced intercom capabilities. Wallace will play a critical role in educating current and future dealer partners and customers on how these features will translate to more efficient production workflows, faster turnaround times and overall improved operations.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jay Wallace to the team, where his extensive background in intercom and RF, excellent industry contacts and in-depth knowledge of our products will be valuable assets,” says Bob Boster, Director of Sales, Americas and Asia Pacific, Clear-Com Communication Systems. “We’ve endeavored to ensure a strong sales effort across the United States, and Jay’s arrival is the final piece in that puzzle.”

A Texas native, Wallace got his start in media and communications in 1979 when he took a job at KBMT-TV in Beaumont, Texas, performing Master Control, Director and Technical Director duties for the station’s 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts. Over the course of the next three decades, he held sales and technical positions at a variety of prominent TV and radio stations, including KDFI-TV, KAAM/KZPS Radio and Midcom/Dallas Cowboys radio. He joins Clear-Com from Kennedy’s ENG, a Clear-Com dealer partner based in the Dallas metropolitan region.

“My relationship with Clear-Com goes back many years, so joining the company feels very natural to me,” says Wallace. “After working on the dealer side of things, I was looking for a new challenge and the opportunity to work in the Northwest region for a company I know and respect was just the ticket. I look forward to augmenting my knowledge of the Clear-Com product line so that I may creatively assist our customers in solving their communications issues.”

Wallace will be based out of Clear-Com’s U.S. headquarters in Alameda, California.
