A mid to large broadcast studio will have multiple production studios and Outside Broadcasting (OB) trucks. Arcadia’s broad capabilities with both wired and wireless communications makes it a very good choice for both home and remote broadcast production. The latest firmware release for Arcadia gave it the capability to connect directly to other Arcadia devices and to the Eclipse HX matrix frames via the E-IPA card. This gives users seamless communications to all local and remote broadcasts.
Application Notes
The main broadcast studio utilizes an Eclipse HX Delta frame outfitted with E-IPA cards to support communications within the studio through FreeSpeak Edge beltpacks, Iris-X panels virtual clients via Gen-IC. A second studio is added to the solution by connecting the frame to an Arcadia Central station where HelixNet devices are used with Agent-IC virtual clients. Two OB trucks have Arcadia stations connecting back to both studios. Each truck is outfitted with Encore wired comms and FreeSpeak II wireless beltpacks.
