Eclipse HX Host Control Interface (HCI)

Eclipse HX Host Control Interface (HCI)

To minimize the number of devices needed to do certain tasks, it's a benefit to combine control into fewer products. Host Control Interface (HCI) is a programming capability that allows a control surface like an intercom panel to control a coffee machine or video router. This eliminates the need to have multiple products - this saves energy, rack space and overall costs.

How it Works

The HCI programming capability allows a target device to be controlled via a connected interface. Clear-Com offers HCI capability with Eclipse HX frames and EHX software. A small PC can host HCI instructions that pass on direction to a third-party device, in this case a coffee machine. A V-Series panel key can be depressed with the result being instructions to begin the brewing process on the coffee machine.
