Roles

The Roles page enables you to create roles for the devices in your intercom system. These roles are used to control the audio configuration and other settings for beltpacks and other devices.

Roles are made for:

  • The Arcadia

  • FreeSpeak 4 key beltpacks (FreeSpeak II)

  • FreeSpeak 8 key beltpacks (FreeSpeak Edge and FreeSpeak Icon)

  • V-Series Panels

  • HelixNet beltpacks (2 & 4 key)

  • HelixNet remote stations

  • HelixNet speaker stations

Note:FreeSpeak and V-Series roles work on a 1:1 basis, each beltpack or keypanel must use a single role. HelixNet roles work on a 1: many basis, a HelixNet role can be used by many user stations. Therefore, HelixNet role types cannot be mixed with FreeSpeak and V-Series.

The Roles page of the CCM enables you to:

  • View, add, clone, edit and delete roles
  • To edit role settings, click the arrow at the right side of the role
