IFB

A configured IFB in the IFB page

Arcadia’s IFB (Interruptible Foldback) page allows you to configure and monitor IFB within the system. When using an IFB, audio is routed from the interruptible input to the output and when a talker talks on the IFB, the interruptible input audio level is attenuated (lowered/ducked) by the specified amount.

IFB are commonly used for one way communication to an on-air talent in broadcast application and paging to areas such as backstage dressing rooms in performing arts facilities.

Arcadia IFB can be used with any interface port and FreeSpeak, V-Series and Arcadia Front Panel.

To access the IFB page, navigate to: Configuration > IFB.

Note:At the time of writing, HelixNet cannot be used with IFBs. This is due in a future release.
